Well, there won’t be result for the first test Between India and Sri Lanka. But no regrets, we do have the Man Of The Match! No marks for guessing.. it’s our Cyclone Baaz which is playing havoc in Tamil Nadu..
First of all, it was supposed to hit as a cyclone, but it did bring heavy rain and throwed life out of gear in Tamil Nadu and now in Chennai.
3rd Day also washed out:
Three days of no action. Called off without a single ball being bowled.. it’s very disappointing today being a Sunday as well. The rain has stopped now, but the damage was done last evening when there was heavy rain agian and even I was caught in the rain.
It must be hard on the players.. they must have come prepared mentally for the match and now all the energy might have drained.. Now it’s no use staying in Chennai in case the day is called off tomorrow as well. Atleast the cricketers can have a good practice at kotla.
Doordarshan did not even show the fourth umpire studio talk pre show with Pune marathon dominating the slot.
Dramatic rescue:
The coast guard yesterday rescued five people who was trapped and here is the picture of that dramatic rescue..

Many parts of Chennai flooded:
There was 24cms of rain for the past 24 hours and again the reservoirs, lakes and other water bodies (including roads!) were flooded. The roads are battered, and the water mixes with the sewage at some areas. Many apartments at velachery was flooded with water and people living in the ground floor had to be moved to safer places. Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa has announced “relief” for the affected people irrespective of the ration cards they hold.
Luckily it was all good and fine in my area and we were fortunate to be spared from all the hardships that other people faced. There was no power cuts, no water logging, no shortage of supplies and hope it continues in the same way for the rest of the monsoon season.
