    Me use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.. nvr thought of using VLC… too lazy to dl

    You should Shwetanshu. It’s the coolest media player. Install VLC along with Foobar2000 and chillax!

    And you know abt the things I have installed and I never want to waste BW on d/ling 40mb of frogshit stuffs, when I can use ffdShow which is just 2 mb in size.

    well.. I have been using VLC since digit’s jan issue 2005 and the only flaw i find is its uncool interface that scares n00bs a lot :?

    Else it plays all i throw at it though with a considerable pre-delay …

    Why uncool interface? It looks like any other media player, or thats what I fell.

    I think VLC is the best media player despite the negatives given in the review. Biggest drawback is just that we can not play real media files with it(as mentioned thanks to Real) as far as interface is concerned i think it is quite cool. Moreover if you do not like the skin may be you can design your own skin. One more thing it is open source project which can come in handy anytime you require.
